All too often, parents wish they could pause the innocent childhoods and adolescence's of their children, to stop them growing up so fast in this ever changing world; before you know it they're walking, talking, running and then telling you they don't need to hold your hand as they cross the road or to not embarrass them in front of their friends. Life just seems to fly by and it's easy to forget the little moments and laughs of infancy. These days, we can all grab multiple shots of some blurry expressions and a bad angle group selfie here and there, but are those the kind of images you want to be remembered for, by generations of the future?

Having family photoshoots preserves the 'whole family being together' moments, enjoying each others company and love. As a parent, you get to be in the photos having fun too rather than the usual onlooker, which will one day be adored and treasured. I can't tell you how much I enjoy looking back at what my grandparents, parents, siblings and I looked like 20 years ago; the people and moments in these photos is all I have to understand my past and they will undoubtably become even more precious once inevitable change happens in the future.

I just love that photography is able to provide valuable and authentic keepsakes for others, preserving the precious memories and bonds between families.

Every family is unique and each shoot will be different from one to the other. I allow 60-90 minutes for the shoot because I want it to be nice and easy-going, allowing everyone the chance to warm up, get comfortable and relax into our time together. There is no pressure to 'get the shot' or 'meet the session time' if we're having the best time, or if the young kids attention spans are wearing a little thin, we will go with the flow and see where the session takes us.
Family sessions are held outdoors in the glories of nature, so there's lots of varying backgrounds and space to run and play together. You can expect the session to be made up of lots of fun and relaxed candid moments, mixed in with a bit of light posing of you all as a family, individual portraits of the kids and together with siblings, parents photos and pets too!
